The Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 is a business recognition program celebrating the contributions of local companies and their employees to Lake and Geauga County economies.

Fast Track 50 Award

Presented by:
Benjamin F. Edwards & Co., Huntington, Lakeland Community College, The News-Herald, and Skoda Minotti

Nominees should:

  1. Be located in Lake or Geauga Counties and must be organized for profit
  2. Have sales figures of at least $250,000 for 2013
Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Presented by:
Lakeland Community College's Entrepreneurship Center and the Lake County Ohio Port and Economic Development Authority

Nominees should have:

  1. Started or substantially grown a business in Lake or Geauga Counties and have acted in capacity to promote entrepreneurship in this area
  2. Demonstrated vision and willingness to take risks in a growing business
  3. Demonstrated innovation by taking the business to new heights or by approaching business in creative ways
Game Changer Award

Presented by:
The Lake County Ohio Port and Economic Development Authority

Nominees should:

  1. Reside or have a business located in Lake or Geauga Counties
  2. Be a cutting-edge, forward-thinking individual, business or business group that has "Changed the Conversation" resulting in casting Lake or Geauga Counties in a positive light
  3. Have successfully completed one of the following:
    • Improved or renovated a process
    • Changed the delivery of service
    • Demonstrated cutting-edge thought in some aspect of technology or manufacturing
    • Invented or created a new product
    • Started a unique business to meet the need of our changing economy
